Theresa J. Page, MA, LPC
Theresa is a licensed psychotherapist who offers counseling for children, adolescents and families. She uses play therapy and child centered techniques in her work with children. She specializes in transition issues, divorce reactions, and childhood trauma. Using a parent consultation model, Theresa offers support to parents during the counseling process. When appropriate she collaborates with other professionals serving families and children to help provide more comprehensive care for her clients. Theresa believes considering the developmental needs of people is essential in her work. Play is a child's natural way of learning about themselves, their world, and how to adapt to life's challenges. Her time with clients involves a lot of playing with children while supporting parents to understand the unique ways their children grow and heal emotionally. Theresa offers a place where both children and parents feel safe and can be themselves. In her work with teens, she honors their need to be their own persons while still staying connected to their families. She is available for parenting classes (one on one or as a group), children's groups and consultation to the community.
